ASME B16.11 is a standard specification for socket weld and threaded forged steel pipe fittings including socket weld unions which is available in class 3000 and class 6000. In this specification, socket weld pipe fittings and threaded pipe fittings has the same diameter ranges and materials.
Socket weld union is socket weld connection with the pipes, it has advantages of simple design and usage, low cost, easy installation and removement.
